Spay & Neuter Statistics
Since the Flathead Spay & Neuter Task Force
began their Spay & Neuter Program  52,053 dogs and cats have been altered as of January 2023.

In 2022 the Task Force spayed or neutered 560 dogs and 1,909 cats for a grand total of 2,469.

In 2021 the Task Force spayed or neutered 539 dogs and 1,814 cats for a grand total of 2,353.

In 2020 the Task Force spayed or neutered 539 dogs and 1,790 cats for a grand total of 2,329.

In 2019 the Task Force spayed or neutered 613 dogs and 1,852 cats for a grand total of 2,465.

In 2018 the Task Force spayed or neutered 704 dogs and 1,879 cats for a grand total of 2,583.

The Task Force's low-cost surgery options helps those unable to afford for-profit veterinary care and greatly lessens pet overpopulation and the euthanasia of unwanted companion animals.

All this was done with dedicated volunteers and professionals that donated in excess of 5,000 hours. Thanks to these committed people, animals being born will have a much better chance of finding a loving home instead of being unwanted.

We look forward to continuing to provide the best spay and neuter services for 2021, with our caring and dedicated volunteers and veterinarians.
